Will Mobil Oils Continue Providing SL Rated Protection
API SM appears to be a step backwards in regard to engine wear. Will Mobil oils continue with SL rated protection in its oils? Many now have SL off their bottles but show SM.
Yes, all our motor oils that are providing API SM quality level are also backward qualified for earlier service categories such as API SL, SJ, etc.
