Question:
Which Oil is Best for LPG Engines?
What engine oil do you recommend for LPG engines that are based on automotive gasoline engines to minimize valve and combustion chamber deposits?
-- Michael Ross, San Antonio, TX
Answer:
Any high quality ILSAC GF-4 engine oil will provide excellent protection in a LPG type engine. For the best protection against deposits we would recommend Mobil 1. Since you did not provide a detailed vehicle description we would use the same viscosity grade recommended for your vehicle when it was running on gasoline.
