Break-in Motor Oil for Small Block Chevy Engine
I am looking for a break-in-oil for my small block Chevy. I have been looking at Royal Purple's break-in-oil and would like to find something less costly and that have most of the quality needed to break my engine right. Motor: 427cid solid roller cam .688 lift. My rockers are Harland Sharp and instructions say "We highly recommend soaking the rockers in Break-in-oil over night before using them". So is your Delvac oil in the ball game? Y or N

We recommend you refer to our chart that shows the various levels of antiwear (zddp) in each of our Mobil 1 products. You’ll see there are various viscosity grades of Mobil 1 with higher levels of antiwear zddp that would be helpful for break-in. In order to activate the antiwear properties of zddp, it must be in contact with metal surfaces at high temperature (engine operating temperature). There would be no need to soak overnight using Mobil 1.
