Will 0W Motor Oil Fix a Noisy Valve Train?
I understand LL-01 are the only factory approved oils for my BMW X5. However it can be a challenge to find. I have 130K on the clock and am not worried about the warranty, only longevity. I have a good deal of unhealthy sounding valve train (?) noise upon cold startup. Would I be correct in using a 0W-XX oil to address? Also, I change my oil every 5K miles. Any problems with using Mobil 1 0W-30 Advanced Fuel Economy even though the HTHS is a bit low?

We would recommend trying Mobil 1 0W-40 in your BMW. Mobil 1 0W-40 is BMW LL01 Approved, will provide exceptional flow at cold startup, and provide the appropriate amount of high temperature protection.
