Question:
Should 1996 Pickup be Switched to Mobil 1 High Mileage?
I have a 1996 Ford Ranger Super Cab 3.0 V-6 with an automatic transmission. The truck has around 200,000 miles on it. I am currently using Mobil 1 Extended Performance 5W-30. Tell me if you would recommend changing to the Mobil 1 High Mileage 10W-40. I am starting to get some oil usage, but no smoke that I am aware of and no leaks. Thanks.

Answer:
Although Mobil 1 High Mileage would provide outstanding protection to your engine, we would advise you to keep using Mobil 1 Extended Performance, based on the information you provided.
