How Do Turbocharged Engines Benefit From Mobil 1

More and more engines are coming from the factory turbocharged. Do turbocharged engines benefit from pure synthetic oils like Mobil 1, because of the heating effect on the oil from the turbo bearings?

Answer:

Absolutely. One of the primary benefits of Mobil 1 is the protection under high temperature conditions such as turbo charger operation. In fact last year, Mobil 1 was chosen as the factory fill oil for the first-ever Acura turbocharged and intercooled engine in the Acura RDX. Mobil 1 also meets the new Honda /Acura HTO-6 specs.
