My car is a Factory Special Option Car with a 355 cu.in. 450 hp engine. A
ground up restoration was completed 03-03-07. The vehicle was used at the GM
Lab for test purposes, and it was a first vehicle for computer command engine
control, special body effect and options.
I've used Mobil 1 since it was introduced. Upon engine inspections there is no
sludge or wear factors. I purchase a new GM vehicle frequently, and I put Mobil
1 in after the first 500 miles. Mobil 1 stands up to the high RPM in the
Corvette and every day commuting in my new Colorado. When testing the
Corvette's newly restored engine, a radiator hose came off at high speed and
RPM, creating severe overheating. The engine was disassembled and inspected.
There was no wear factors or bearing damage, thanks Mobil 1.
