I absolutely love my Tahoe, which is partly why I have not replaced it and instead have chosen to replace the transmission twice. It is the vehicle of choice for all of my travels due to its comfort. Today, it turned 300,000 miles on the odometer. It took me a while but I finally have it broken in and just the way I want it.
People are always amazed at how long I keep my vehicles running and always ask me for the secret. My immediate answer is, switch to Mobil 1. Mobil 1 has been the only oil in the Tahoe's engine since it came home from the dealership and the factory fill oil was drained and replaced. I am a 3rd generation Mobil 1-er, and all of our vehicles have had exceptionally high mileage thanks to Mobil 1. You could say it has been a family tradition since 1981.
