I purchased this Ford Explorer used from the local Ford dealer. I required the dealer to change the oil to Mobil 1 prior to receiving the car. I purchased the oil myself and personally observed it being changed. My "wagon" gets 21 or more mpg and does great. I am more pleased with it than any vehicle I have ever owned.
I switched to Mobil 1 in the early 80's. I had a '79 Ford E150 van with 18,000 miles on it. I immediately got 4 mpg better mileage and the temperature gauge went from half to one quarter. I was in the US Air Force stationed in England at the time, and read about Mobil 1 in the USAF's Driver magazine. I was sold. I have not used any other brand since. I even use it in my lawn mower. When I was younger I saved the used Mobil 1 for chain oil in my chain saw. Since I don't drive much these days I only change the oil and filter once a year. I fully trust Mobil 1.
