| | I bought this car with a salvage title and rebuilt it myself. I built the engine from block up, and also installed the new engine and transmission myself... took one day total to get the engine together and dropped in the car. It's a hybrid swap with a 1.6L DOHC VTEC b16a2 engine out of a 2000 Honda Civic Type R est. 1/4 dial time - 13.5.
The engine has a base redline at 8,000 rpms and the oil is the single most important part of the engine, with variable valve timing electronic control (VTEC), the engine feeds oil to each cam lobe to achieve higher rpms safely. I have used Mobil 1 since the first day this engine was fired up and it's still running 100% to the minute; it always keeps the engine running smooth and clean.
