I had wanted a comfortable and powerful SUV for a while and found this 2003 Summit White Yukon Denali at a local used car lot. It had 87,000 miles, but the previous owner had taken very good care of it so I bought it. What an awesome truck! The 6.0L Vortec engine pulls the 5500-pound truck with seemingly no effort and it's so comfortable...I feel like I'm sitting in my living room!
I learned my lesson about motor oil eight years ago. I had always used Mobil 1 in my previous vehicle, a Caprice, but on this one particular occasion I was a little short on cash so I bought the generic brand at the store thinking it would be okay for this one time. I kid you not, that night I spun a rod bearing. The replacement LT1 cost me $4,500. Never again will I buy anything other than Mobil 1. That's why, for my first oil change in the Denali I'm using Mobil 1 - and will continue to do so. Period.
