My car is a '69 SS Camaro black with white stripes! With a 2001 Chevy pick-up 454 that I've got with no miles on it, I put a carb on top and changed the cam and head work. The tranny is a TKO-600 with the .64 overdrive. It also has:
A Moser 12-bolt with 3:73's
Custom seats
A total of 5 6x9's, and one 12-inch with a 222 watt amp speaker system
A 100-shot and jet hot coating Hooker headers which flow to a 2.5 exhaust that has electric cutouts. If the cutouts are closed the exhaust flows thru a Flowmaster 40
The wheels are 17x8 tq thrust wheels – 215/45/17 front and 255/45/17 rear
Disc brakes all around; SSBC up front and Wilwood in rear for stopping power!
The top speed is a crazy 178mph at 5,500 rpm's. The power to the tires from the 454ci on a dyno was 423rwhp and 597rwtq.
Using Mobil 1 has helped with poor oil pressure. After break-in, I started using Mobil 1 15W-50 and gained 15-20 lbs more pressure at high rpms which for street racing is a must. In my book there's no better oil than Mobil 1.
