Okay so here it is, my '05 Hyundai Elantra. Yes, it's not fast or sporty but it's been dependable in every which way for the past seven years that it's been running on Mobil 1 5W-30 and now recently 0W-30, a Mobil 1 oil filter and Mobil premium gas. This is my first car and currently my only! I will keep her as long as she runs, regardless of mileage.
I used to use the dealer oil which was Castrol but then I did some research on how to properly maintain my car. With an oil change every 2,500 miles or 3 months, this car regained and has not lost its soft idle. With my recent switch to 0W-30 for the winter, I noticed quicker acceleration, smoother change in gear, the idle is almost quiet and it only took four minutes to get the temperature gauge going when it was 9° out. It may be an Elantra but with Mobil 1 it gallops like a 1968 Mustang!
