| | I've had my Volkswagen Beetle Turbo Diesel for about a year now and I love driving around in it. With only a 14.5 gallon fuel tank, I can get around 620 highway miles and around 580 in-town miles. The timing belt had been replaced, but I've only replaced a headlight and turn signal myself. I baby my Beetle (Gordy). Gordy is a 5-speed manual transmission. The gear shifter knob is the #2 pool ball which I installed myself. I installed a blue and black gear shifter leather boot cover from "Perfect Fit". I have a blue steering wheel cover along with blue front and back seat covers.
I use Mobil 1 0W-40 in my Beetle. I never let Gordy run over 5,000 miles without a Mobil 1 0W-40 change. Gordy drinks four quarts every fluid change. Mobil 1 is the best and that is why I will forever use 0W-40 in my Volkswagen Beetle Turbo Diesel. The hairs on the back of my neck are standing straight up just talking about it. After I change the Mobil 1 0W-40 in my Beetle and start the engine I can tell a huge difference right away. The engine is quieter and runs smooth.
