I have used Mobil 1 synthetic motor oils for over 20 years. This is my first new car. From the first service at 3,750 miles my engine has had Mobil 1. At the 7,500-mile service I installed a Mobil 1 synthetic filter and topped up the oil. At the 15,000-mile service I switched to Mobil 1 Extended Performance 5W-30 and again used the Mobil 1 oil filter. Also at the 15,000-mile service I changed the transmission, transfer case and front and rear differentials over to Mobil 1 Synthetic Gear Lube LS 75W-90 gear oil. Beginning my car with Mobil 1 synthetics I don't expect to ever have to replace this car.
Mobil 1 synthetic oil has increased my fuel mileage and after the 15,000-mile service I have noticed a definite increase in power. Changing the gear oil has brought with it smoother gear changes and a quieter gear train.
