Game Period: The Mobil 1 Extreme Lift Game (the “Game”) begins on February 1, 2008, at 12:01 a.m. Central Time (“CT”) and is scheduled to end June 30, 2008, at 11:59 p.m. CT (the “Game Period”).
- How to Play: During the Game Period, game codes can be found under the caps of specially marked one quart bottles of Mobil 1® and Mobil 1 Extended Performance while supplies last. Or, to obtain one (1) free game code until June 16, 2008 mail a 3”x5” card or piece of paper hand-printed with your complete name, address, city, state, zip code, date of birth and valid e-mail address in an envelope with proper postage affixed to: Mobil 1 Extreme Lift Free Game Piece Request, P.O. Box 337, Wilton, CT 06897-0337. Limit one request for one (1) free game code per stamped outer envelope per day. Mail-in game code requests must be postmarked no later than June 16, 2008. Game codes will be sent to the e-mail address listed on the request. From June 17, 2008 to June 30, 2008, to obtain free game code call toll-free 1-800-217-7366 and follow the instructions provided to obtain one (1) eight-digit alphanumeric code. Limit one request for one (1) free game code per call per day. Requests via this method must be received by 11:59 p.m. CT on June 30, 2008. To play, access www.mobil1.com, complete the official registration form and follow the on-screen instructions. You will be prompted to enter your eight-digit alphanumeric game code and hit “submit.” If you are the first person to play the game at a randomly pre-determined winning moment, as determined by Sponsor, or immediately following such moment if no one plays the game at such exact moment, you will be an Instant Win Prize winner, subject to verification of eligibility, game code and compliance with the terms of these Official Rules. All game plays must be received by 11:59 p.m. CT on June 30, 2008. Limit one (1) game play per person and per e-mail address per day. Each time you play, you will also be entered into the Grand Prize Drawing (as described below).
- Prizes/Approximate Retail Value/Odds of Winning: One Grand Prize: a once in a lifetime NASCAR experience. Winner will receive a 4 day, 3 night trip for two. Including round-trip first class air transportation from major U.S. gateway airport nearest winner’s residence (as determined by Sponsor) for winner and one guest, three nights hotel accommodations (one standard room, double occupancy), a private tour of the Penske Racing Garage, round trip personal helicopter ride from Penske Racing Garage to a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Event, $1,000 cash for winner only, two VIP seats to watch the race; and a three day mid-size car rental. Car rental subject to winner and/or trip participant holding a valid U.S. driver’s license and qualifying as an eligible driver under applicable car rental company policy (including the attainment of age 25) and other rental car company terms and conditions. Car rental does not include gas, tolls, parking fees, collision waiver insurance, or any other related fees and is subject to car rental company terms and conditions. (Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”): $11,080). Actual value may vary based on point of departure. Winner must be able to travel on dates specified by Sponsor in October 2008 or prize will be forfeited and Sponsor will have no further obligation to such winner and, at Sponsor’s discretion, an alternate winner may be chosen, time permitting. If winner resides within a 100 mile radius of race, Sponsor reserves the right to provide ground transportation in lieu of air transportation and no compensation or substitution will be provided for difference in prize value. Travel arrangements must be made through Sponsor’s agent, on a carrier of Sponsor’s choice, at least 21 days prior to travel. Winner and travel companion must travel together on the same itinerary and are responsible for obtaining all travel documents required by airline. Grand Prize Winner and travel companion must be of the legal age of majority in his/her state of residence (and at least 18 years of age) and must execute and return a liability/publicity release prior to issuance of travel documents. Certain travel restrictions may apply. Airfare and hotel accommodations are subject to availability. All other costs and expenses associated with the acceptance and use of the prize not included in the prize description above as being provided (including, but not limited to, taxes, fees, additional ground transportation and meals, gratuities and tips) will be the sole responsibility of the winner. In the event race is cancelled for any reason or Sponsor is unable to provide the personal helicopter ride due to weather conditions or mechanical issues, no compensation or substitution will be provided; however the remainder of the prize package will be awarded and Sponsor will have no further obligation to winner. All prize details are at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. Location of VIP seats are at Sponsor’s sole discretion, Winner and travel companion must comply with all venue and service provided rules and regulations. Failure to do so may result in forfeiture of such prize element.One Hundred Fifty One Instant Win Prizes: Winners will receive one of these prizes (to be determined by Sponsor): a die-cast replica (1:24 scale) of the new Mobil 1 #77 race car or a remote control Mobil 1 helicopter (ARV: $105). Total ARV of all prizes: $26,935. Odds of winning an Instant Win Prize are based on the number and timing of game plays on web site. No substitution, cash equivalent or transfer of prizes (or portion thereof) permitted by winners. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize (or portion thereof) of comparable or greater value, at its sole discretion. All federal, state and local taxes, and all costs and expenses related to the acceptance and use of the prizes not specified in these Official Rules as being awarded are the sole responsibility of the winners. Prizes will be awarded “as is” with no warranty or guarantee, either expressed or implied by Sponsor. Limit one (1) Instant Win Prize per household. Unclaimed prizes will not be awarded.
- Instant Win Prize Redemption and Notification: All potential Instant Win Prize winners will receive an immediate prize notification following a winning game play. Instant Win Prizes will be sent to the mailing address provided upon registration within six to eight weeks following completion of the verification process. P.O. Boxes will not be accepted. All prize awards are subject to verification of winning game play, game code, eligibility and compliance with the terms of these rules. If prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable or in the event of noncompliance with these Official Rules, prize may be forfeited.
- Grand Prize Drawing: One potential Grand Prize winner will be randomly selected on or about July 9, 2008, from among all eligible game plays received during the Game Period, by an independent judging agency, whose decisions are final and binding. Odds of winning the Grand Prize will depend on number of eligible game plays received for the entire Game Period. Potential Grand Prize winner will be notified via overnight mail and/or phone and will be required to execute and return an affidavit of eligibility, a liability release and, where legal, a publicity release, as well as any other documents that may be required by Sponsor and/or prize suppliers within 14 days of date of issuance or prize may be forfeited and, at Sponsor’s discretion, awarded to an alternate winner. If prize notification is returned as undeliverable or in the event of noncompliance with these Official Rules or if Sponsor is unable to contact potential Grand Prize winner within a reasonable time period, prize may be forfeited and, at Sponsor’s discretion, awarded to an alternate winner.
- Eligibility: Game is open to legal residents of, and currently residing within, the continental U.S. (excluding residents of Alaska, Maryland and New Jersey – Maryland and New Jersey have laws or regulations relating to promotions conducted in conjunction with the retail motor fuel industry. Residents of those states are prohibited from participating in this promotion). Participants of this promotion must be of legal age of majority in his/her state of residence, (and at least 18 years of age), with internet access and who have a valid e-mail address at time of entry. Employees of Exxon Mobil Corporation (“Sponsor”), Marketing Drive, LLC, PSG, Rivet, participating sponsors, and their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, retailers, distributors, suppliers, advertising and promotional agencies, and any other individuals engaged in any way in the development, production, printing, distribution or execution of this Game, and their immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and those living in the same household of each such employee, whether or not related, are not eligible to enter or win prizes. - General: By participating, participants agree (a) to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor and judges, which are final and binding in all matters; (b) to the use by Sponsor and its designees of their names, cities and states of residence and likenesses for advertising and promotional purposes in any and all media now or hereafter known throughout the world in perpetuity without additional compensation, notification or permission, unless prohibited by law; and (c) to release, discharge and hold harmless Sponsor, Marketing Drive, LLC, PSG, Rivet, participating sponsors, and their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, retailers, distributors, suppliers, advertising and promotion agencies, and any other individuals engaged in any way in the development, production, printing, distribution or execution of this Game, and the respective directors, officers, agents and employees of the foregoing (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any liability, claims, losses and damages arising out of or relating to their participation in this Game and the acceptance, use, misuse or possession of any prize received (including any travel or activity related thereto). Released Parties are not responsible for lost, late, stolen, damaged, garbled, inaccurate, incomplete, misaddressed, illegible, mutilated, postage due, undelivered, delayed or misdirected mail, undeliverable e-mail addresses, game code requests, phone calls, prize claims, entries or game plays or for errors, omissions, interruptions, deletions, defects, phone transmissions or delayed telephone lines or in operations or transmission of information, in each case whether arising by the way of technical or other failures or malfunctions of computer hardware, software, communications devises, or transmission lines, or data corruption, theft, destruction, unauthorized access to or alteration of entry materials, loss or otherwise. Further, Released Parties are not responsible for electronic communications, which are undeliverable as a result of any form of active or passive filtering of any kind, or insufficient space in entrant's e-mail account to receive e-mail messages. Game plays will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of participation and such individual must be eligible according to these rules. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet Access provider, on-line service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. Participant may be requested to provide Sponsor with proof that the participant is the authorized e-mail account holder of the e-mail address associated with the account/submission. Proof of submitting games plays and/or mailing game code requests will not be deemed to be proof of receipt by Sponsor. Released Parties are not responsible for any other errors, malfunctions or problems of any kind, whether computer, network, printing, seeding, typographical, technical, telephonic, human or otherwise, relating to or in connection with this Game, including, without limitation, errors, malfunctions or problems which may occur in connection with the administration of the Game, the announcement of the prizes, the processing of game plays, game code requests or prize claims or in any Game-related materials. The use of automated software or computer programs to register or to play the Game is prohibited and any individual who uses or attempts to use such methods to register will be disqualified and all his/her game plays/entries will be void. Sponsor disclaims any liability for damage to any computer system resulting from participation in, or accessing or downloading information in connection with, this Game. In the event of any such cancellation, termination or suspension, a notice will be posted on www.mobil1.com. Game codes are void if they contain any printing, mechanical, seeding, typographical or other errors, or if they have been tampered with or obtained other than through authorized channels. If computer, printing, mechanical, seeding, typographical or other errors result in more valid prize claims for any prize level than the number stated herein, Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to award the stated number of prizes for that level in a random drawing from among all eligible, non-suspect and valid prize claims received for such level. All materials submitted in connection with this Game become the property of Sponsor and will not be returned.
