Mobil 1 testing starts with Industry Specs, but we don’t stop there. We also evaluate Mobil 1 oils in specially designed tests that push engine and oil performance levels beyond standard industry protocol.

In these tests, vehicles are operated on an outdoor chassis roll to simulate real world performance. Temperatures, speeds and engine oil performance are tracked through regular monitoring.

We test Mobil 1 under demanding conditions of temperatures as low as -35°F. Mobil 1 flows to critical engine parts quickly during cold start-ups to help protect critical engine parts from metal-to-metal friction.
